Small Business Loans

The Humboldt Economic Development Co-Operative was incorporated to administer loans to small businesses located in Humboldt.

The objective/purpose of the Humboldt Economic Development Co-Operative Limited is to:

Establish, maintain and operate on a non-profit basis; promote and encourage economic diversification, tourism and the development of business, and facilitate and make loans to small businesses, including funds from programs operated by the Department of Economic Development.

Funds are administered from the Department of Economic Development and lent to participating small businesses. Loan repayments are collected by the Co-Operative in Humboldt. Loans amounts of up to $15,000.00 are available upon application and approval to assist small businesses, including retail, service, manufacturing or home based. The current interest rate is 8% with flexible repayment terms.
