The Community & Leisure Services Department is located at the Uniplex, which is Humboldt's main recreation facility located in Centennial Park. The facility includes the Humboldt Aquatic Centre, Elgar Petersen Arena, Curling Rink, and Convention Centre with meeting rooms and a banquet hall. The Community & Leisure Services Department is responsible for the operation of the City's facilities, parks, programs, special events and tourism. Staff work throughout various areas including aquatics, ice rink, parks, concession, hall, programs, and administration.
Parks
The Community & Leisure Services Department maintains 198 acres of parks and green space throughout the community. This includes mowing, tree pruning, weed control, fertilizing, litter control, playground maintenance and baseball diamond maintenance.
Programs & Special Events
The Community & Leisure Services Department is responsible for organizing various programs and special events. Activities taking place throughout the year include Canada Day Celebrations, Summer Sizzler & Rodeo, and a Halloween Party.

Special Occasion Policy

Grants
Special Event Grant
The Special Event Grant is available to encourage local organizations to host sports, cultural, conference and convention events that will attract visitors to the City of Humboldt and region. Cemeteries
The City of Humboldt operates two cemeteries. The Public Cemetery is located on Hwy #20 North and the St. Augustine Cemetery is located on Hwy #5 East. The Cemetery Bylaw contains information concerning cemetery and monument regulations, requirements, care of graves and a rate schedule. Contact Us
